The most popular modern global tango music for dancers.
An intoxicating mix of 'historic Argentinean roots, Tango, the
old neighbourhood sound, Gardel, the milongas, the typical orchestras and several electronic rhythms'. The music
may be modern but it is steeped in traditional tango and totally created to be danced to. Otros Aires are
native to Buenos Aires, have rich milonga backgrounds and are keen dancers.
Returning to Ardingly for 5th
year, we are delighted to host Otros Aires exclusively again. This time it's the full lineup with all the classics
along with some amazing brand new material.

SATURDAY GRAND MILONGA (MAY
28 2016)
This incredible 10 Piece Orchestra had not even left the
stage last year and we had already booked them again for 2016! You loved them and demanded them back. Young, energetic, technically
brilliant, and simply sublime to dance to with a full and luscious sound ( 3 bandoneons, 3 violins, viola, piano,
double bass + enchanting singer).
With an International ensemble including Argentinian, Chilean, Spanish, French, and
English players this Traditional Orchestra Tipica create a full and luscious rich sound. Their repertoire of tangos,
vals and milongas are totally directed towards dancing and they are in high demand at Europe's milongas. The
styles of D'Arienzo, Troilo, Biagi, Salgan, Pugliese and DiSarli are given special place, interspersed
with more personal arrangements. The quality of the arrangements is a key priority: each
piece is carefully worked, leading towards a refined and well-varied musical result.
